Charles Sanford, 64, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, passed on August 26, 2022 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Charles was born on January 21, 1958 to Peggy Cozart and the late Charles Farrington. Charles loved to enjoy time with friends and family. He was a die-hard Carolina Tar Heel fan. He loved to laugh, talk smack and loved to have fun in life. There was never a dull moment around Charles aka "Chilly Charles".

Charles was proceeded in death by his father, Charles Farrington. To mourn the passing of Charles: Mother: Peggy Cozart (Ulyses), Son: Santino Barbee (Megan); Daughter: Alisha Caldwell; Grandchildren: Jaden, Jalen and Mariah Barbee and Kai Caldwell; Brothers: Arnold L. Sanford, Tony White and Avarl Cozart; Sisters: Pam White and Yolanda Cozart; Nephew: Jarod Cozart; A special brother, friend and caregiver Darrell Foushee, Aunt: Katherine Sanford. Also mourning the loss of Charles are numerous other loved ones, family and friends.
