Mr. Franklin Deon Williams

Franklin Deon Williams, son of the late Franklin and Luvinia P. Williams, was born December 20, 1969, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He departed this life on September 21, 2023.

He attended Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools until graduating from "The" Chapel Hill High School in 1988. He wasan avid Tarheel and Dallas Cowboys fan and never missed a game. He was a member of Holland Chapel A.M. E. Zion Church until his untimely passing.

Deon was married to Shannon Brown in 1997 and to this union, they had two children, Jae and Chace Brown.

Upon graduating from High School he was employed in the foodservice industry at various restaurants. He was also employed at UNC in the Department of Laboratory Animal Medicine. Deon had an outstanding character and could always strike up a conversation about his Tarheels or Cowboys, unless either team lost. He cherished his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Reginald and Kenneth Williams, childhood friends Fred "Mooney" Lynn, James Baldwin, Jr. and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

He leaves to cherish: his mother, Luvinia; daughter, Jae Brown; son, Chace Brown; (brothers), Keitha Page (Tawania); Frederick Page (Barbara); Felton Page; Bryant Williams; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, including his closest friends Rodney Farrington, Keva Jones, Kenyetta Farrington and Yolanda Riggsbee.
