Mr. Johnathan Earl “J.D.” Davis was the son of Willie Mae Davis and the late John Robert Daniels. Johnathan was born June 26, 1971, in Chapel Hill, N.C. and departed on March 26, 2022.
One of the greatest joys for Johnathan was having the wonderful opportunity to be at home and be surrounded by his mother and loving family.
Johnathan attended Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. His classmates remember him as the class comedian, as well as his mean left hand jump shot.
Johnathan was a dependable employee while working for the Chapel Hill – Carrboro City School System. His ultimate enjoyment was working for numerous years with his Uncle Ollie.
Johnathan had a genuine love for life and everyone around him. There was never a dull moment when John was present.
In the early 1990s John dedicated his life to the Lord. As his health declined, he continued to have a strong commitment to his faith. He fellowshipped often with “Temple of Freedom” and enjoyed the opportunity to testify “How God had brought him out”.
Johnathan was preceded by his grandparents, Willie and Lucy Davis, his father, John Roberts Daniels, and his nephew Solomon Davis.
Johnathan leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Willie Mae Davis, Haw River, N.C.; one son Jamario Eubanks, Chapel Hill, N.C.; brother, Christopher Davis (Nyeka), Chapel Hill, N.C.; two sisters, Cassandra Davis, Durham, N.C.; Shamartha Paisant (Reginald), Durham N.C.; special nieces and nephews: Kristina Paisant, Kelsey Paisant, Reginald Paisant, Jr., Alexander Paisant and D’Asia Riggsbee.
Uncles: Robert Davis, Thomas Davis (Lula), Nathaniel Davis (Peggy), Oliver Davis (Sharon), Edward Davis and Kenneth Davis (Truphenia)
Aunts: Carolyn Davis-Holman (Samuel), Patricia Mangum (Darryl) and Helen Davis Green.
A host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will hold his memory dear.
