Mrs. Carrol Ann Jones Farrar, daughter of the late Clifton and Willie Mae (Hines) Jones, was born January 27th, 1941 in Durham, NC. On Saturday, July 9th, 2022, she left her earthly home and entered eternal rest. God saw fit in all his wisdom to allow us to borrow her for a little more than 81 years. In her youth she attended the Durham County schools. On January 6th, 1962, she was united in holy matrimony to Curtis Lee Farrar and from this union three children were born, Dana Farrar, Darryle Farrar and Lara Farrar. She worked at NC Memorial Hospital as a phlebotomist where she retired after 30 years. She attended Second Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and participated in the willing workers club. When her children were young, she was their Girl Scout Troop leader. She volunteered her time and heart in the community for the benefit of the children. Her hobbies were fishing, gardening, art class and she loved playing bingo. She was a wonderful sister, a loving wife, an attentive encouraging mother and Grandmother. Most importantly, she was a great Christian with a generous heart and a love for others.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one sister, Evelyn Jones of Durham, NC; three brothers, Raymond Jones of Durham, NC, Alvin Jones (Rachel) of Durham, NC, and Richard Jones of Durham, NC; one brother-in-law, Thermon Patterson (Audry) of Durham, NC; one son, Darryle Lee Farrar of Durham, NC; two daughters, Dana Farrar of Durham, NC and Lara Farrar of Graham, NC; two Grandsons, Darryle Farrar (Erica) of Douglasville, GA, and Danté Farrar (Kandace) of Chapel Hill; four Granddaughters, Nicole Wilson (Stacy) of Raleigh, NC, Samaria Farrar of Greensboro, NC, Tiera Farrar of Raleigh, NC, and Aliyah Turrentine of Charlotte, NC; three Great Grandsons, Darryle III, Davis, and Tristan; two Great Granddaughters, Taylor and Avery; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
