Mrs. Mary Alice (Edwards) Hubbard

Mary Hubbard, 80 of Carrboro N.C., passed away on February 28, 2022. She was born February 26, 1942 to the late Roy Edwards and Ruthie Farrow Edwards of Chapel Hill NC.

Mary attended Lincoln High School.  She was employed as a private duty care giver until retirement.  At an early age Mary attended First Baptist Church in Chapel Hill NC.

Mary loved to travel.  Every year, she would take a trip to Las Vegas where she absolutely loved to play the slot machines.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Junior Hubbard; one son Jeremy Wayne Hubbard; two sisters Louise Edwards and Vertie Clark and one brother James Tootie Edwards.

Mary is survived by her children Clarence Hubbard of Durham NC; Aretha Hubbard of Charlotte NC; one brother, Roy Edwards;  three grandsons, Omari Newsome of  Durham NC, Michael Truesdale of Chapel Hill and Jeremy Hubbard of Chapel Hill; a very special friend and personal nurse Venice Mckeithen, and a host of nieces and  nephews and other relatives and friends.
