Ms. Cecilia Asma Delamothe

Cecilia Delamothe was born in Manhattan, New York and attended Seward Park High School. She loved animals and had a special bond with dogs and horses. Her passion was sewing and reading, and she also taught Braille at the school of the Blind. She retired from UNC Hospital as a Phlebotomist.

Cecilia was a devout Baha’i since 1993 and served as a faithful member of the Chapel Hill community. She also lead and organized a monthly interfaith prayer gathering with her neighbors at Covenant Place.

Cecilia is survived by her daughter: Malikah; son: Ali; stepdaughters: Stephanie and Michelle; grandchildren: Aje and Alix; brothers: Jean and Rafiq; sisters: Felicia and Suzanne; and their children. She was a Beautiful Mother to All! May she Forever Rest In External Peace!
