Ms. Judy Levon Clark Goins was born on May 3, 1955 to the late Marvin Henry Clark and Margaret Louise Greene Clark.
She attended Chapel Hill High School where she became the first black majorette. She later went to work for UNC Hospital as an animal technician. She also worked as a nanny for many years, for Mrs. Clara Neyhart, who she loved dearly, and of which she and this family are very grateful for. Judy also had a love for reading, crossword puzzles, and poem writing.
She is preceded in death by her two sisters: Terry Lee Clark and Annie Leah Farrow. She leaves to cherish her memory, Clyde Goins Sr. and her life partner Wallace Wayne Thompson; two sons: Mario Duane Goins of the home (Mary Clark), and Clyde Edgar Goins III (Tiara Goins) of Burlington, NC; she also helped to raise Carlos Marsh of Greensboro, who she cherished as her own son, four sisters: Stella Lousie Chesney (Elder Jerry Chesney) of Sanford, NC, Emma Lois Council (Melvin Council Sr.) of Chapel Hill, NC, Vanessa Obie of Graham, NC, and Sondra Amanda Woods (Ray Woods) of Burlington, NC. She also has leaves a host of aunts, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
